I’m on vacation a good part of July, but back at home at the moment. I went to make adjustments on my underpainting of the first version, and realized the lightly textured board was probably not going to be to my liking for this. Here is a redo of my underpainting on stretched canvas 18″x24″ I like the new composition better, I wanted more sky,a bigger storm cloud, and a lower horizon.
I made an underpainting, starting with a yellow background and glazing with warm purple. The actual painting will be much colder and darker. 14×18″ ampersand wood panel
I thought I would try using the IPad to flush out how I could do a bigger painting. Possibly this would be a 14″ x 18″ Acrylic on Canvas?
We’ve been enjoying the Great Lake Michigan. This is Portage Point near Onekama Michigan, portrayed in watercolor on Moleskin Watercolor Paper.
Thought I’d paint my pear on the IPad in Art Set Pro with oil paint, using a stylus. I think it’s very intuitive. It’s fun, I can paint loosely with it.
